Reporting a file that won't open
If a GPX, FIT, TCX, KML or KMZ file won't load, the fastest way for us to fix it is to see the file itself. Because everything runs in your browser, we never receive your files automatically — so if you're happy to share it, attach it to an email (or a snippet of it: the first ~50 lines usually contain the part that matters). Tell us which browser and device you were using and what you expected to see. If the file is private, the repair tool can often diagnose the problem on your device without sending us anything.
Feature requests and feedback
GPX Viewer is deliberately small — a viewer, a cleanup editor and a set of converters, not a route planner. Within that scope, requests are very welcome: missing metrics, a format quirk we don't handle, an export you need. The about page explains who builds this and why, and the methodology page covers how the numbers are computed if something looks off.
Privacy questions
The short version: your files are parsed in your browser with the W3C File API and never uploaded; we only collect anonymised usage analytics. The full details are in the privacy policy. For anything it doesn't answer, use the form above — privacy questions go to the same inbox and get the same 1–2 business-day response.
