Open a GPX file in komoot
When you import a GPX into komoot it becomes a Tour — a route you can view, tweak and navigate. The free tier accepts uploads.

Steps
- Sign in to komoot. Log in at komoot.com (import is available on the website and in the app).
- Open the import option. From your profile or the planner, choose to import a GPX/FIT file.
- Select your GPX file. Upload your .gpx.
- Choose the sport and save. Pick the sport type, review the Tour, and save it as planned or completed.
Quirks & limits
- komoot may snap the imported track to its own map so it can give turn-by-turn directions, which can slightly alter the exact line.
- Viewing and importing Tours is free; full turn-by-turn navigation is free only in one region unless you unlock more.
