OsmAnd opens GPX directly on both Android and iOS, and can navigate it offline — a strong choice when you have no signal.

Steps

  1. Save the GPX to your device. Download the .gpx to your phone.
  2. Import it into OsmAnd. Open OsmAnd → Menu → My Places → Tracks, tap a folder’s three-dot menu → “Import”, or tap the file and choose “Open in OsmAnd”.
  3. Show the track. The track displays on the map; tap it to see details.
  4. Navigate it. Open the track’s menu and start “Follow track” on Android or “Navigation” on iOS. It works offline once the region’s map is downloaded.

Quirks & limits

  • The free version caps map downloads (7 on Android, 5 on iOS); offline turn-by-turn navigation is free.
  • For offline use, download the region’s map before you head out.
